Helping Save a Pelican in Peril

Our Western Division provided support to International Bird Rescue, an organization that specializes in emergency preparedness and response, day-to-day aquatic bird care, and scientific research. When the organization discovered a spate of sickness in brown pelicans occurring for an unknown reason, our Orca Aggregates Port of Long Beach provided support. The team recently released a pelican that the team had taken under their wing.

Fostering Youth Interest in Conservation

Brian Parker, a member of our North Carolina Team, also serves as chairman of the Wilkes Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors. Students recently presented conservation topics in the district’s poster, speech and slideshow competitions. Together, we’re encouraging our future leaders to advocate for the environment.
