Chattanooga Quarry - Award Details Received a Diamond Achievement Award from NAPA (2003) The Diamond Achievement Commendation was created by the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) in 1999 to provide national recognition for hot mix asphalt production facilities that operate in an exemplary manner. The award recognizes excellence in plant appearance, permitting and regulatory compliance, environmental practices, operations, safety, and community relations. To be considered for the award, a company must first confirm that the plant is in compliance with federal regulations. The nomination process requires that a local public official, community association official, or neighbor review the application. More than 368 plant sites have achieved the Diamond Commendation since 1999.
