SELF CONSOLIDATING CONCRETE (SCC)
Freddie Mac Pedestrian Bridge - McClean Virginia

Self-consolidating concrete is specifically designed to be a highly flowing and non-segregating concrete mixture. It is designed to flow into place and fill formwork with little or no vibration.  As a high-performance concrete, SCC delivers many benefits while still maintaining concrete's normal mechanical and durability characteristics.

The flowability of SCC is measured by spread using a modified version of the slump test.  The spread of SCC is typically in the range of 18-32 inches depending on the requirements of the project.
